DundalkDundalk is the largest town in county Louth and offers visitors a range of sporting activities, shopping opportunities, places to dine out and historical places to visit. The town has always been renowned for its famous football team who play their matches at Oriel Park. The town boasts the only all weather horse racing track in Ireland and is home to greyhound racing on a weekly basis. Other activities on offer for visitors include ice-skating, bowling, swimming, horse riding and indoor soccer. The town has a large range of shopping centres and traditional stores. There are plenty of places to eat out, go for a drink or see a film or occasional show. The County Museum is the must see visitor attraction in town but it also has a number of interesting churches, historic buildings and monuments. Walking tours of the town can be arranged. |
