Knockabbey Castle & Gardens, Louth Village

Anyone with even a passing interest in great gardens or history will find plenty to delight them at Knockabbey Castle & Gardens. There is an informative display in the tower house portion of the castle outlining the history of the estate. The 30 acres of gardens around the castle were recently restored to their former glory and now contain wildflower meadows, herbaceous borders, a Victorian flower garden, water gardens and a number of specimen trees. Visitors can download a suggested trial beforehand to guide them through the gardens or if they want to test the family they can take the treasure hunt challenge which can also be downloaded in advance.
