Millmount Museum and Martello Tower, Drogheda

One of the most striking landmarks in Drogheda is the Martello tower which overlooks the town. It is an ideal place to start a visit to the town as it is located in the courtyard that also houses the Millmount Museum. Millmount is a community run museum run by Old Drogheda Society. Its exhibits recount the town’s history and the knowledgeable guides bring the artefacts and atmosphere of the place to life. The courtyard also has a craft centre and restaurant.
